United States - Collection of 3 Historic Notes - Confederate, Federal Reserve Note & Military MPC Interesting and diverse group of three American banknotes from different periods in United States history, reflecting important economic, military, and political developments spanning more than a century. 1 Dollar 1862 - Confederate States of America: Civil War era note issued by the Confederate States during the American Civil War. The center features a portrait of Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederacy. Confederate currency remains one of the most collected areas in American numismatics due to its direct connection to the Civil War and U.S. history. Back with blank reverse, typical for certain Confederate issues of the period. 10 Dollars Series 1934D - Federal Reserve Note: Classic U.S. small-size banknote featuring Alexander Hamilton on the front and the U.S. Treasury Building on the reverse. Issued by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (District 2-B). Notes from the 1930s and 1940s remain highly popular among collectors of American paper money. 5 Cents - Military Payment Certificate - Series 521: American Military Payment Certificate (MPC) used by U.S. military personnel at overseas bases and installations. MPC notes were introduced after World War II and today form a unique and highly collectible specialty field. Their colorful and unconventional designs differ significantly from standard U.S. paper currency.
