Turkey / Ottoman Empire - 2 Zolota AH 1171/9 (1765) - Mustafa III, Constantinople - Silver 465, 18.5g (8.6g net), 42mm - PCGS MS 63 A silver 2 Zolota coin from the Ottoman Empire, struck during the reign of Sultan Mustafa III. The coin features large and elegant Ottoman calligraphy typical of 18th century imperial Ottoman silver coinage. Coins of this type were struck in Constantinople and circulated widely throughout the Ottoman Empire during a period marked by economic strengthening and military reforms under Mustafa III. Obverse: Arabic inscription bearing the name and titles of Sultan Mustafa III, together with the regnal year and Hijri date. Reverse: Traditional Ottoman calligraphy with imperial titles and a characteristic beaded border design. The coin is graded PCGS MS 63, representing a particularly high state of preservation for an 18th century Ottoman coin.
