Palestine - Medal Display Board Presented to Moshe Morrow - Bezalel, Jerusalem
Palestine - Medal Display Board Presented to Moshe Morrow - Bezalel, Jerusalem An exceptionally rare and historically important medal display board presented to Moshe Morrow, one of Bezalel’s leading medal designers during the British Mandate period. The board, covered in black velvet, contains four pairs of medals (obverse and reverse), neatly mounted with small identification plaques beneath each pair. In the top corner appears a small brass plaque reading "TO MOSES MORRO", indicating this was a personal presentation or honorary display prepared for him. The medals represent the highlights of Morrow’s artistic contribution to fairs and exhibitions in Palestine and abroad: Levant Fair Tel Aviv 1932 – Featuring the famous Winged Camel emblem, the official symbol of the fair. Palestine Exhibition & Fair Tel Aviv 1929 – Depicting a farmer plowing with oxen and the Tower of David, Jerusalem. Exposition Coloniale Internationale Paris 1931 – Art Deco style medal, awarded the Grand Prix. British Empire Exhibition London 1924 – Showing King George V and the symbolic lion of Britain. This unique display encapsulates the creative journey of Moshe Morrow, one of the foremost Bezalel medalists, who brought the artistic spirit of the Yishuv to the international stage. A museum-grade artifact of great artistic and historical significance.
