These tokens were used to raise funds for Jewish children and infants and serve as tangible relics of early Jewish-American philanthropy. Obverse: Moral inscriptions such as "HAVE A HEART HELP THE ORPHANS AND GOD WILL HELP YOU" or "HAVE A HEART HELP THE POOR CHILDREN AND GOD WILL HELP YOU", surrounded by heart or laurel wreath designs, and inscribed "GOOD LUCK COIN" or "GOOD LUCK TOKEN" below.
