Israel - Pair of “The Dove” Kinetic Medals 1987 - Bronze, 60g Each, 59 mm Pair of impressive Israeli kinetic medals of the “Dove” type, issued in 1987. The medals reflect the spirit of 20th-century kinetic art, which sought to introduce movement and a sense of life into artistic creations. Each medal is composed of two moving parts: a dove connected to an outer ring and rotating within it. The ring bears the artist’s signature. The medals are struck in bronze, each weighing 60 grams and measuring 59 mm in diameter. Kinetic art expressed the concepts of motion, change, and technological progress, and represented an artistic attempt to “bring life” into a static object through actual movement of the medal’s components. Very fine condition with natural patina and light age marks.
