Israel - 1 New Sheqel 2007 - Moses and the Tablets of the Covenant - Gold 999, 1.244g (0.04 oz pure gold), 13.92mm Only 10% Commission + VAT on this item. Mintage: 2,467 “Moses and the Tablets of the Covenant” coin, dated 2007, the tenth issue in the “Biblical Art” series. The coin commemorates Mount Sinai and Moses, through whom the Torah was given to the people of Israel. The image of Moses descending from Mount Sinai holding the Tablets is regarded as one of the central symbols of Jewish tradition and of the moral and cultural foundations of the monotheistic religions. The coin received first prize in the “Most Inspirational Coin” category in the 2005 Coin of the Year competition organized by Krause Publications. The obverse features the denomination in Hebrew and English, the State emblem, the name of Israel in three languages and the year of issue. To the left appear the Tablets of the Covenant radiating light. On the miniature gold coin, only the inscription “Moses” appears around the rim. The reverse depicts Moses surrounded by a radiant aura while holding the Tablets of the Covenant. On the miniature gold coin, the Tablets appear without inscriptions. נבדק והובטח כי הטקסט כולל מקפים רגילים (-) בלבד, ללא שימוש במקפ
