A lot comprising four miniature gold bars produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of German reunification, officially completed on 3 October 1990. These are privately issued commemorative bars with no face value and are neither state-issued coins nor legal tender. Obverse: A large “30” appears over an image of the Brandenburg Gate and celebratory fireworks. The inscription “JAHRE DEUTSCHE EINHEIT” (Years of German Unity) appears below. Reverse: A stylized German eagle, the inscription “999 FINE GOLD” and the words “EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT FÜR DAS DEUTSCHE VATERLAND” (Unity, justice and freedom for the German fatherland).
